Tartan Scenes: Spring 2024
PTF Forever Plaid All-School Fundraiser
The St. Margaret’s community came together to celebrate and support the school, as the 2023 Forever Plaid All-School Fundraiser welcomed parents, professional community, Trustees and alumni to VEA Newport Beach.
More than 400 members of the community attended the event, enjoying a night of friendship, dinner, dancing and support of St. Margaret’s and its students.
One of the highlights of the night was this year’s Fund A Need in support of Tartans Thrive and its centerpiece St. Margaret’s Commons project. Hundreds of community members pledged their support for the campaign at the event.

PHOTOS: PTF Tartan Family BBQ and Fun Zone
More than 1,200 members of the St. Margaret’s community came together for one of the biggest gatherings of the year, as the PTF Tartan Family BBQ and Fun Zone brought good food and lots of fun and fellowship on and around Chalmers Field. The event preceded an exciting Homecoming football game later in the evening, and was a chance for the community to be together in a fun and festive celebration of St. Margaret’s.
The event also served as a sneak peek of what’s to come in the planned St. Margaret’s Commons. A lineup of experiential activities and informational booths lined the corner of Chalmers Field at the event. Attendees could test out various technologies and tools that are planned for the Commons, including a golf simulator, recovery equipment such as compression leggings, and performance technology such as laser timers for speed training.

PTF Welcome Back Coffee and Winter Coffee
The PTF hosted two get-togethers this school year for the parent community to enjoy coffee and community and learn more about volunteer opportunities within the PTF. The annual Welcome Back Coffee served as the traditional kickoff to PTF activities at the beginning of the school year, while a second Winter Coffee brought families back together to look ahead to spring events and activities.

PTF Tree Lighting Ceremony
St. Margaret’s treasured holiday tradition filled the night with bright lights and holiday cheer as more than 250 attendees of the Tartan community celebrated the 16th annual PTF Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Fountain Courtyard. The tree lighting ceremony is a yearly tradition which kicks off the holiday season at St. Margaret’s.
